September is finally here and we’re thrilled for our upcoming beta launch that is planned for the last week of the month! We have been very busy since our first status update in July. Big-big thanks to our early users and testers for the valuable feedback on our profile page at www.wanderwork.com/profile
Here’s what we’ve been up to over the last month:
Meeting with companies
We started with a small batch of companies to whom we introduced the Wanderwork platform. This gave us a lot of feedback of what functionality they need and how to make it easier for them to find suitable candidates for their job offers. We have yet to implement all the features that are needed, but that isn’t stopping us from launching the beta. Even though we are still in the early stages of building the platform, we plan to scale rapidly and bring our users the most interesting job offers in the coming months.
The main feedback on the profile page testing was the need for mobile support. This is something we’re working on right now and plan to get ready by the beta launch, so you could browse job offers on-the-go.
Usability and functionality
A lot of work has gone into making sure that both users and companies have enough data points available to make their lives easier. This means that users have more freedom in how they fill their profiles about their skills and experience so that companies can find suitable candidates for their job offers, and that companies can make their job offers more attractive and easily searchable by job seekers.
Of course, there are a million other things happening in the background, all to make this the go-to platform for early career professionals to find internships and jobs from our global marketplace. For us, the beta release means two things: 1) we are launching our updated profile creation for the job seekers to be ready once the job offers start coming in, and 2) it allows us to accelerate our pursuit for companies that are searching for young talent and want to get their job offers out there.
Our platform is free for job seekers and will stay that way in the future as well! We kindly ask our users to be patient with us while we’re working on getting more and more job offers on our platform.
We truly appreciate your support and patience! And, of course, if you have any comments, questions or feedback, we’d love to hear from you, either on our Facebook page or through our support email – firstname.lastname@example.org.
